To recap; this is a (fictional) design company that embraces innovation, creativity and contemporary design. I previously stated that the Georgian influence within this design concept would start and end with the original staircase. I was wrong.
Face the Fear: Purple and Green
I’ve never been naturally drawn to either purple or green hues, but it doesn’t matter whether I like those hues or not; especially when I’ve been asked to design a space to incorporate purple. And lots of it. But what I can do is encourage various ways of utilising a person’s favourite colour without going overboard, or introducing complementary or harmonising colours to a scheme thereby refining the original ideas expressed by the client.
Stairs? Yea, They’re Lovely… Until You Have To Design Them
I’m a classic stair avoider. Always have been. I much prefer the lift, but the sight of a well constructed, visually pleasing and elegant staircase will always catch my eye.
Hand Rendering v Computer Generated
Hand rendering v computer generated. This debate can bring out all sorts of passionate views about the personality, character and charm that a skilled hand drawn render can provide. Then we have the other side of the coin… the evil and nasty world of computer generated visuals. ‘They are cold’! And void of individual quirks’, I hear you shout! But are they?!
